Crossing the Nullarbor: From the Edge of the World to Streaky Bay | Half Lap of Australia: Episode 19 🌅🚙🌊

Our Nullarbor adventure begins! This week, we cover over 950 km in one day, conquer the 90 Mile Straight, and explore the dramatic beauty of the Great Australian Bight. Join us—Megan, Stuey, Evelyn, and Thea—as we journey from the "Edge of the World" to crystal-clear waters at Streaky Bay.

Day 50: We tackled Australia’s longest straight road before arriving in Eucla just in time for a spectacular sunset.

Day 51: Crossing the WA-SA border felt like a milestone as we returned to South Australia for the first time since Day 6! We stood on the cliffs of the Great Australian Bight, visited the historic Old Nullarbor Roadhouse, and marvelled at the colourful waters of Lake MacDonnell—pink, green, and blue lakes all in one spot. Supplies in Ceduna were a must before arriving in Streaky Bay.

Day 52: Streaky Bay had its own surprises! From Thea’s hilarious encounter with pelicans to exploring Perlubie Beach and swimming in the wild waters of the Back Beach, it was a day of adventure. A windstorm in the evening reminded us of nature’s untamed power.

Next Episode: We continue along the Eyre Peninsula, visiting Coffin Bay for local emus, crystal-clear waters, and world-famous oysters.
