So I've literally had this sitting on my computer done for...three months? It's sad.I'm not one for femslash but I thought it would be fun to try something new.

Even though they are best friends,Elena begins to have feelings for Caroline.Caroline becomes aware of this and enjoys flirting with her,taking advantages of Elena's devotion to her.One night,Caroline is lonely and asks Elena to stay the night with her - where they share a kiss and more.The next day Caroline acts like nothing happened.Elena is devastated and starts dating Stefan,leading Caroline to become jealous.Caroline admits her true feelings but by then,it's too late.Elena no longer trusts her and is afraid of getting hurt again.

During the night of the Founder's Ball,Caroline brings Damon as her date to make Elena jealous.Damon has been feeding on Caroline and giving her his blood - then compelling her to forget.When he feeds on Caroline too hard,he kills her.When she wakes up,Elena is there for her and the two reconcile but Caroline is terrified to learn she's now a vampire.

When Elena finds out,she promises to stand by Caroline but after Caroline can't control her urges,she decides it's too dangerous for Elena to be around her.She compels Elena to forget she's a vampire and that they've reconciled and must look on,at the end,as Elena goes back to Stefan.

Yeah...I guess it's a bit depressing.But I liked creating their little story!
