A New Pipe and Tube Mill: Orrcon Steel | Manufacturing in Unanderra, NSW

On Thursday, 25 July 2024, Orrcon Steel | Manufacturing opened its new, state-of-the-art pipe and tube mill in Unanderra; products from the facility will be used in various construction and infrastructure applications, such as buildings, bridges, stadiums and shopping centres—enhancing our capability at BlueScope to supply critical inputs for components in large-scale solar farms. Incorporating advanced robotics and automation, this investment signals our confidence in Australian manufacturing and our determination to participate in the country’s energy transition.

Paul Scully MP (NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces and Member for Wollongong); and Tony Schreiber (General Manager, Orrcon Steel).
