Clear Bra: DIY Paint Protection Installation

In this tutorial video, we will be showing you how to apply Clear Bra on to your headlight lenses. Although this video is only showing the application on headlights, you can apply the same concepts to wrap any part of your car.

Needed Materials:

Clear Bra Film (3M, Avery, or any other Clear Bra you may have)

Microfiber Towel (When you clean your surface, it is best to remove as much dust as possible)

Squeegee (To push out air bubbles and excess water underneath when applying the Vinyl/Clear Bra)

Water & Soap Solution (Adding soap to the solution helps you maneuver the film on your surface without it getting stuck)

Heat Gun (Apply every so often to help the Clear Bra stick to the surface. Be careful not to apply too much heat at one time or else the Clear Bra will wrinkle up)


Although this tutorial is only 2 minutes, the whole process should take about 5-10 minutes depending on how well you work with the paint protection film.

The Process:

1) First off, clean the surface with your Microfiber Towel and Solution

2) Re-apply the solution to the surface AND to the back of your film. (Getting the front wet is fine too as the front film will be peeled off in the end)

3) Apply the Clear Bra Film onto surface

4) Squeegee out excess air and water underneath surface (Make sure to squeegee from the center out to edges)

5) After getting out the excess water, start continuously applying the heat gun while squeegeeing at the same time.

6) Apply the heat, Squeegee out air bubbles, and repeat the method until the Clear Bra is completely stuck onto the surface.

7) Lastly, peel off the front film to reveal the finished look.
