I remember this was one of Kitana's hardest match ups in Mortal Kombat (2011), and the first match felt reminiscent of that to me.

Granted I wasn't playing the match right and let my opponent dictate the flow far too much. I was also dropping too many strings, and not capitalizing on openings enough.

I adjust for the second match.
