McCamly Street Abandoned Railroad Crossings Tour, Battle Creek, MI. (Old NS Cereal Plant Spur)

Описание к видео McCamly Street Abandoned Railroad Crossings Tour, Battle Creek, MI. (Old NS Cereal Plant Spur)

So sometime after I toured the active crossing owned by the CN South Bend sub on this same road, I also decided to tour the 2 little abandoned crossing signals that were right next to the active crossing. And after doing more research, I guess it turns out that an NS local or two (that would come off of the now known Amtrak Michigan line) would come down and serve these spur tracks, which go into the 2 big halves of the Battle Creek Cereal plant, which was pretty neat needless to say. Although I guess now due to changes of operations and budget (if I may guess), they're no longer accepting rail service at this plant, and I've been told the last train to run on these rails ran about a decade ago. But either way, it's still quite neat to see these signals and rails still standing, at least in recognizable condition, and to me its quite the neat little relic to see here in Cereal city. So i guess with that said, I hope y'all enjoy this one
