Monetary Standard in Hindi

The term “monetary standard” denotes to the monetary system that has been prevailing in a country. This is a set of rules that control the supply of money in an economy. It regulates the quantity of money in the market as well as its exchange value.

Broadly speaking monetary standard is of two types

1. Metallic standards
2. Paper Currency Standard (Managed Currency Standard)

But Metallic standard is further divided into two
a. Monometallism or Single Standard
b. Bimetallism or Double Standard
