Walton Goggins reveals on-set feud with Justified co-star Timothy Olyphant and admits to ‘tough time’ during filming

JUSTIFIED: City Primeval actor Walton Goggins has opened up about his ongoing feud with his co-star Timothy Olyphant.

Earlier this month, Walton, 52, sat down for an interview where he got candid about his experiences on the FX scripted miniseries.

The Hollywood actor revealed to The Independent that by the time the eight-episode show was finished filming, he and Timothy, 55, "weren't talking."

"We had a tough time towards the end of Justified," he admitted.

"We were so deep into these people we were playing, and they were so polar opposite at this point in the story.

"I think we were both obsessed with our own points of view, just carrying the weight of this conflict."

The western-themed miniseries premiered in January 2023 with both Walton and Timothy reprising their roles.

Walton returned to play Deputy Raylan Givens and Timothy played Boyd Crowder.

The crime series also features Timothy's daughter Vivian, as well as Silent Hill: Revelation's Adelaide Clemens, Narcos' Boyd Holbrook, and Sneaky Pete's Marin Ireland.

'I RESPECT AND LOVE HIM'
Walton then hinted that things were okay between the two and they just "needed to separate like brothers."

"I respect and love him greatly, and I feel respected and loved by him greatly. We just needed to take a break in order to come back together," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Timothy confirmed that he and Walton were still friends.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, he said, "I’ve always adored that guy and I love working with him, and he’s something special.

"I’d work with him again in a heartbeat."

The original Justified series along with the spin-off is available to stream on Hulu.

On March 20, the two stars took some time together and posed for a selfie while they were both in Thailand working on upcoming projects.

Walton shared the snaps on his Instagram account of the two actors smiling and embracing each other.

"Look at this beautiful Thailand surprise… got to meet up with Raylan Givens for lunch today. Talk about comforts from home…Just what I needed. What a good man. The road we’ve walked," he captioned his post.

'BEST SHOW EVER MADE'
While the show was airing, fans shared their thoughts on Justified and City Primeval

"I HIGHLY recommend Justified," one fan shared on X, formerly Twitter, "[Walton] and Timothy are brilliant together."

Another said, "I came out of that show floored by walton goggins' performance."

"[There's] a lot of clever writing, good action, [and] enjoyable characters," exclaimed a third.

"Now that everybody is appreciating Walton Goggins' acting, please go watch Justified. His chemistry with Timothy Olyphant is off the charts. Truly one of the best shows ever made," a fourth said.
