Unbeknownst to them, a bird's nest perched in the tree, housing a sleeping chick while its mother was away foraging, becomes a silent witness to their actions. The forceful shaking dislodges the chick, sending it plummeting into the pond below, where it begins to drown.

Witnessing the chick's plight, the goat, driven by a surge of compassion, leaps into the pond to save it, despite its own inability to swim. This act of bravery leads the goat to begin drowning as well. Observing this, the elephant plunges into the pond, heroically saving both the chick and the goat from a watery fate.

In gratitude, the bird invites them to reside near the pond and berry tree, fostering a new community.
