What went WRONG with Tubbo's Minecraft Server TubNet???

TubNet was one of the most hyped minecraft servers i'd ever seen. Promising to bridge the gap between java and bedrock, 4 years of development, and over 4000 players on launch, how on earth did it die so fast?
