I got my hands on this CD unit. I wanted to remove the platter to clean it up and see if i could get the wheel more slippery. I found the instruction on how to do it on a blog, just filmed myself following it in case i missed out something while reassembling. This is quite tricky to open up, the hole where all cables passes thru is ridiculously small. Whatever, this is what i did and it was quite successful. (I expected to get the dots brighter using toothpaste but that didn't succeed too much)
