You may not know much about this island located directly under India in south Asia. Although it was colonized three different times in history, and changed its name eventually from Ceylon, to its current, this is a very special country.

Sri Lanka is famous for producing tea, rubber, coconut, and exotic spices. There are beaches there are incredibly scenic trains, waterfalls, tea, plantations, and amazing food.

Yet less than 200,000 tourists visit this country each year. Now, trip was too short, and I would love to come back, but I had an incredible time.
