Swan Song director Chelsea McMullan and producer/co-writer Sean O'Neill join us in TIFF's Studio 9 to talk about their latest film.

Chelsea McMullan’s intimate process documentary takes us inside the National Ballet of Canada’s 2022 production of Swan Lake, choreographed for the first time by the company’s artistic director Karen Kain, who famously debuted in the ballet in 1971. From the power of the camera and the importance of building trust with your subjects Chelsea and Sean dive into the unique challenges of creating a verité style documentary.
