A big Take the Doughnut Challenge for me: Choreograph a routine for each month of 2025. This one is scary for me. I can think of a dozen reasons not to post this challenge publicly - and I think of more each day - but I decided to break through those reasons and see what is on the other side.

The featured song is Barton Hollow by John Partridge. I first heard a version of this song by The Civil Wars years ago and loved it. That version was a go-to song I would use years ago when I improvised. When I heard this Johnny Partridge version, I knew it captured the right mood and was different enough to let me explore new ideas instead of trying to recapture what I used to improvise all that time ago. Plus, this song has grit and twang and allowed me to find new textures to my movement that I haven't delved into while I keep building stamina in this challenge!
