THROWDOWN at KING of the HAMMERS Class 11 SHOWDOWN

We came, we saw, and we threw down in the King of the Hammers Class 11 Showdown!
This was no short course race this time around, the Class 11 cars were set to race the 40+ mile prologue course at KOH, with one twist!
The start of the race would be a LANDRUSH start, and for those of you who have never seen a start like this, there aren't many more exciting things. 35+ VW Class 11 cars lined up wide ready to slam the pedal to the metal as soon as the flag drops!
Mr. Baja (Larry Roeseler #1143) and Mr. Beef (Eric Brandt #1145) battled an extremely rough and tough course, with many obstacles such as rocks, soft deep sand, and hill climbs to name a few. Eric Brandt and the #1145 raced until they were unable to race any longer, being forced out by a blown clutch in the deepest of sand. Mr. Baja aka Larry Roeseler used his vast racing knowledge to avoid some of the pitfalls but also needed a tow out of a difficult area as well, all of this on the way to a podium finish in the intense sunset battle at King of the Hammers.

thank you to all of the sponsors and volunteers that help make racing like this possible. We couldn't do it without Tim Sletten putting in so much time on these cars to get them done in time for the races as well as our sponsors: BF Goodrich Tires, Vision X Lighting, OMP Racing, PCI Radios, King Shocks, VP Racing Fuels, and Red Line Race Oil. And thank you to the guys that volunteer their time to be out with the team assisting in any way possible: Chris Vorhies, Joe Alvarado, Justin Steggell, Ryan Griffits, Chester Hoover, Scott Agnew, Pat Henderson, Patrick Towle, and Chris Haines.
