I recently posted a shorts video on my social media channels on avoiding Hydrogen Peroxide as a method to cleanse your wounds and cuts and the comment section were astonishing! Many say they will continue to use it and were quite angry with me; I then decided to create a longform video on all the mistakes we are making after decades of doing the wrong things which lead to us having a scar. It is always important to take into account the depth of an injury as we may do all the right things in this video but still get a scar if the depth goes into the dermis of the skin. I hope that these pointers (backed by evidence based medicine and clinical experience) can help in at least minimizing the appearance of a scar. Always seek medical attention asap if you have a wound that appears to be infected (worsening pain, redness, swelling, heat).
