Over the last year, I (Karen) have been replanting the 2 large front flower beds around the chateau terrace. It came after many failures that I decided that I needed professional help. I wasn't sure what kind of professional I needed, so I just searched, 'garden designer.' I found an article featuring a list of garden designers and links to their portfolios. I really liked the website of British planting designer, Alexa Ryan-Mills. https://www.alexaryanmills.co.uk/ Her tone was approachable and I thought she could probably answer my questions. Alexa was quick to respond and we formed a partnership, whereby she designed my 2 front gardens and I did all the donkey work of buying and planting. I've been very happy with the results so far and they're only getting better month by month. It won't be until next year that we will see the garden completely planted to her vision, and I really can't wait.

I hope our guests and brides to be will love the gardens I'm planting for their pictures. :)

Queen's Escape was inspired by the 4 years the Belgian royal family stayed at Château de La Tuilerie during WWII. In particular, it is for the Queen. The king took shelter at a different location in France. We've named each of our guest rooms after great Queens of the past and present from around the world. Margrethe, Eleanor, Catherine, Himiko, Cleopatra, and soon our bridal suite will be ready in honor of Queen Elizabeth II.
