Rainbow crochet fidget spinner pattern. How to make a toy to develop motor skills and learn colours.

Crochet pattern «Rainbow Fidget Spinner»
Attention:
• Crochet in rounds.
• You can use any yarn size, better from 3-5 size.
• Use cotton for the main part, no pills will appear.
• You can modify this pattern and add more rounds for the main part. In this case you can have a larger toy.

Materials:
• 100% cotton, 100% acryl yarn. I used Red Heart for edging and Yarn Jeans for main part (yarn size 2-4)
Rainbow colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple and neutral color for the base. I used beige.
• Hook: #3.5 mm
• Stitch marker or contrast yarn

Abbreviation in US terms:
ch- chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – simple crochet
dc – double crochet


Main part
Beige yarn (any neutral)
Foundation chain 15ch
R1: Turn and work into the 2nd ch from the hook, 1sc into each ch. 14 sc in total.

Twist the end of this stripe and join it into the ring, sl st into the 1st st of the tail and make 1ch.
We work in rounds, not spiral. We make 2ch at the beginning of the round and sl st at the end of each round.
R2: sc, inc (2sc into one stitch) repeat to the end [42]
We join our stripe and one round is now actually 2 rounds. We will crochet along upper and lower edges at once.
14 + 14 = 28 stitches
R3: *sc, inc (2sc into one stitch)*repeat to the end, sl st [63]
R4: 2ch, dc into the same, inc (2dc into one stitch) into each st, sl st to top chain of 2ch stitch [126]
Now we will crochet rainbow edging.
7 colors of rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple
126 stitches /7 colors = 18 stitches for each color
18/3 motifs =6 stitches for each motive.
Motif/shell : sl st, 3ch, skip 2st, 5dc in one stitch, 3ch, skip 2st, repeat 3 times each color, sl st,
3 red motives( or shell) , 3 orange motives, 3 yellow motives, 3 green motives, 3 blue motives, 3 indigo motives, 3 purple motives.
