The UHM Balinese gamelan music and dance ensemble was active under the artistic direction of artist and teacher I Made Widana from 2010 until the pandemic. During this 10-year period the ensemble presented a few notable large-scale music, dance, and theatre productions. The presenters will share photos and video clips highlighting a few select productions and will reflect on these projects. The ensemble was part of the last UHM Kennedy Theatre MainStage production that was performed in February 2020 just before everything shut down due to COVID. Following a 2 ½ year hiatus, the ensemble is just starting to rehearse again, preparing for upcoming performances. The presenters will share plans for upcoming projects and performances.
