Bengaluru Building Collapse: Owners Arrested, Charged With Negligence | India Today

Five people have died in a building collapse in Bengaluru. The building's owner, Muniraj Reddy, and his son, Bhuvan Reddy, have been arrested and charged with negligence. The building, which was constructed with several violations of building laws, had two extra floors built without permission. The poor construction work and use of substandard materials are believed to be the cause of the collapse. The police are also investigating the contractor, Muni Appa. Rescue operations are ongoing, with more people believed to be trapped in the debris.
