WINNER: AWARD OF EXCELLENCE IN FILM PRODUCTION - PTA

EXTENDED DIRECTOR'S CUT: A 7-year old girl wrote, directed and edited this funny, high-flying film for a school contest, the #NationalPTA Reflections Arts Contest, and was even able to enlist Emmy-winner ED ASNER to appear in the film! He played Carl Fredrickson in the Pixar movie UP, so he fits nicely into the story.

In the movie, a little girl accidentally throws her teddy bear onto a rooftop, and tries various ways to reach it, finally using balloons to lift herself off the ground...but the balloons take her too high and she floats over the city!

When Bailey wrote the script for her short film, she wrote "Ed Asner is now in the movie!" in a scene description, never believing that she could actually convince the living legend to appear in her film.

Bailey and her dad set out to get the script to him and through the helpful generosity of those close to Ed, he liked the idea and said yes!

Bailey is a #GirlScout in #GSLA, (Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles) and her troop also makes an appearance

Anything is within reach if you believe in yourself and meet helpful people along the way.

This film was made for the PTA Reflections Contest. It also stars members of the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles.

P.S. - THIS IS THE EXTENDED DIRECTOR'S CUT. HER SUBMISSION WAS 5 MINUTES IN LENGTH, PER THE RULES. (That one did not have the credits or Girl Scout scene.)
