Our eggs were brought to school and put into the incubator on the 6th March and we hoped that the heat would keep them warm and all wondered how many would hatch. Amazingly they all did and some hatching was caught on camera and we were thrilled to see 8 healthy chicks. Lots of science work came out of our experience with having the chicks at school over the following week or so and how quickly they grew. You can see how active they are and how their wings have developed by the end of this film that shows them at different stages throughout their time with us. We all took plenty of photos and lots of fun and interesting investigations developed from having our lovely fluffy visitors. Some chicks are now with someone connected with Lyonsdown and we hope to see photographs of them as they grow. We wonder how many eggs they will lay?
