I've always liked this song and appreciated the beauty in its simplicity - both in terms of its musical structure and its lyrics. Although the chords are fairly easy and straightforward, I really feel like the Cmaj7 (technically it's an Emaj7, if you consider the capo) makes the whole thing sound even more beautiful.
