Today we’re taking a look at the Creative Pebble X Plus speakers set. Thanks to Creative for sending these over for us to take a look at today. The Pebble X Plus kit is a larger but still desk appropriate sized 2.1 speaker set and it fits in nicely above an old speaker set, budget speakers and soundbars and something a little more premium like the Katana V2 setups. You can see here as I unbox the Pebble X Plus kit we have the two upgraded speakers which are connected by a fixed wiring connection and the main speaker handles the connection to your PC or device as well as plugs into the sub. The sub looks like a nice design, it’s not too large which is nice but I did notice that while the speakers do have mounting holes, the sub doesn’t, not sure why but just something to keep in mind.

I also noticed that there’s a decent amount of weight to these, they don’t feel like that old cheap pair of speakers you might still have kicking around and honestly, they look pretty slick too, I like the design and the flat black color. We have some extra cables in the accessory bag here, 2x USB-C cables and a 3.5mm audio cable. I should mention too that there is a nice manual included but generally, I always go out to the manufacturers website. These are relatively versatile speakers for most gaming setups, we have a few connection options here, Bluetooth, USB-C wired to a device, we also have a 3.5mm audio headset port and a 3.5mm mic port which is nice and of course an aux in port as well. It’s important to note that this whole setup is powered by that red outlined USB-C PD port which means you either need a device that can supply at least 15w ranging up to 30w for peak output. Most PCs with native USB-C ports will do this now but Creative dopes offer a dedicated USB PD wall adapter if you have an older PC or are using this in a different scenario. OF course no premium product is complete these days without at least some RGB. You can toggle the RGB brightness and mode with the button and volume dial. I joke about that but it is kind of a nice touch for your gaming setup or if you are using these in a living room for a party. Now that I’ve covered the hardware, time for my impressions. These are really a solid offering for the price for enthusiasts who appreciate sound. When I test audio devices I like to try to test some of the same songs then some new ones, they were great for poppy music, no party is complete without Taylor Swift after all, they were solid playing back some Zeppelin, and I didn’t have any complaints playing random songs either.
