Changes are necessary in life. Without them, there would be nothing. They are the only certain thing in life. We often fear them. But after some time, we can appreciate how necessary they were. The development of this profile has led to significant changes in my life. I’m not afraid of them, but I have to piece my life together like a puzzle again. My surroundings also need to adapt to these changes: my family, work, friends, and animals. Portugal has drawn me in with my passion for horses and riding. I feel that I will be happy here. But sometimes, changes involve difficult choices. On New Year’s, I chose not to spend the celebration with friends. I connected with them over the phone and heard the reproach that I’m in my Portugal while they are far away. Perhaps some of them felt less important. They fear these changes. My sons view my Portugal with reservation. I brought my parents here with me, and today they had octopus for lunch instead of Polish pierogi. I could have done better, but I need time to learn Portuguese cuisine. I really did blanch it several times in boiling water, cooked it, and then baked it, but it turned out a bit rubbery. Then Bruno called me, and his warm voice was like sunshine. I managed to take care of a few difficult matters. I spoke with the gardener in Portuguese and thanked her for the delicious mandarins and oranges she brought me as a gift. I will piece together my puzzle, and I will be fine here; my life will be like a beautiful kaleidoscope composed of many shining pieces. Changes are sometimes difficult, but patience is needed. Look at Bruno and Istambul. They built their relationship to strive for perfection together. Istambul’s breeder dedicated many years of work to raise such a wonderful horse. Bruno put in so much effort to synchronize with him in the dance. And they danced their way to the Portuguese championship and the European vice-championship this year. This journey continues.
