First inter-continental flight since pandemic | Etihad B787-10 Dreamliner

Welcome to my 7th Flight Report (My 558th flight), from Manchester International Airport (MAN) to Abu Dhabi (AUH). This is the first part of the summer holiday trip from the UK back to Malaysia. The entire route was MAN to Kuala Lumpur (KUL), via AUH and Jakarta (CGK), which is unusual given that I could also fly directly from AUH to KUL. However, for an Aviation fan, I am not complaining and would love to transit through CGK for the first time. The MAN to CGK flights were operated by Etihad B787-10 Dreamliners, while CGK to KUL route was on Malaysia Airlines A330-200. I was extremely excited about the trip as it was my first long haul flight since pandemic.

Etihad offer B787-10 Dreamliner from Manchester to Abu Dhabi and having previously on both B787-8 and B787-9, it was my first time on this type of plane. It has been a while (2015) since I last flew with Etihad and I understand that there are some negative news on Etihad regarding decline in their inflight services in recent years. I was curious and would like to ascertain their service level myself. Let's find out if their services have improved or declined since my last flights with them.
