The wisdom of ordinary people – transforming a discarded metal oil drum into a sturdy and durable outdoor stove in just a few simple steps. This thing costs absolutely nothing, but it's incredibly practical!

How to make and use it? Follow the pictures, four steps to completion:

1. Modifying the oil drum (the core step)
Find a large, thoroughly cleaned metal oil drum. On the lower side, use tools to cut a square "stove door" (for adding firewood and ventilation). Then, on the top of the drum, cut a circle of small holes along the edge of the lid, or simply cut off the entire lid. This serves as both a chimney and a stable base for the pot.

2. Setting up the pot and starting the fire
Stand the modified oil drum upright. Place a large pot or kettle on the opening. Insert firewood and branches into the drum through the "stove door." Light the fire with flammable materials, and the flames will burn vigorously inside the oil drum's "large firebox," concentrating the heat and heating the bottom of the pot.

3. Boiling water and managing the fire
The woman holding the pot lid is crucial! This action is used to regulate the fire: covering part of the opening dampens the fire; leaving it fully open makes the fire burn strongly. With this method, the flames are contained within the oil drum, protected from the wind, and the heat is concentrated. A pot of water boils quickly, saving much more firewood than an open-air stove.

4. Safe finishing
After use, ensure that all embers are completely extinguished. This metal stove is resistant to wind and rain, can be placed in the yard, and is ready to use anytime – a "hardcore helper" for farm work, brewing tea, and heating bathwater.
