BAC855 Kit Overview

This video gives an overview of the BAC855 controller upgrade kit that we’re developing.

The kit includes a controller with mounting bracket, a new display, and a custom wire harness that’ll plug directly into your stock bike.

This kit is intended to work with your stock battery and motor - it allows you to choose power levels, and the highest power level WILL outperform your stock bike.

We’re custom tuning the firmware that gets loaded into this controller - that’s how we get peak performance from your stock parts. If/when you choose to further upgrade your bike, we’ll have new firmware to accompany an upgrade path. The controller stays the same, and upgrades with you when you want it.

Riding

To ride, turn battery on and display on - power meter on the left,, battery readout on the right, and speed readout in the middle
Mode 1: 750W, 20mph
Mode 2: 1200W, 28mph
Mode 3: 2500W, 35mph
Right now this system can’t support lights because we can’t tap into the proprietary communications of the system. We’re developing a workaround, but we wanted to make the powertrain technology available to those who don’t have lights or don’t use them.

Protections (basic overview)

Low Voltage Cutoff - prevent battery from overdischarging / shutting off
Current Limit - prevent battery from shutting off
Controller temp - prevent damage
Motor temp - prevent damage
Brake cutoffs - riding safety feature
