classic books that don't require a lit degree to enjoy *not-intimidating*

today i am recommending some wonderful fiction books of classic english literature, that don't require a lit degree to enjoy! i know classics can be intimidating sometimes but these aren't! they are kind of classics for beginners, but also classics that are great to pick up for when you want a classic but don't want to have to open sparknotes haha. enjoy!
