Tensile Testing – Analysing the raw data

In this video we focus on taking the raw data from a typical tensile test and converting it into engineering stress and strain. We then look at how to find the yield and tensile stress along with the strain to failure. Be aware that these tests are for educational purposes and were very crude i.e. not performed to any reputable test standards. No extensometer was used, and machine compliance was not taken into account.
