Final Fantasy XI - Brothers ENM - Black Mage solo

Another video of my Black Mage, trying to solo the ENM Brothers now, first attempt. So like my others video didn't went in with a lot of preparation, my goal was to try and see how it goes, aiming for win there (that's why I play it safe, not trying to time attack, even if I got record lol...).

So that ENM is pretty easy for a solo BLM, goal is to take down the Eldertaur as soon as possible since that one cannot be slept. To do this you have around 100 seconds, (90 seconds sleep + time for the Mindertaur to reach you). As soon as the Eldertaur is down, it's 100% win. Mindertaur can be kited as long as you want, playing with gravity and bind cooldown.

Did small mistakes (again :d), so my main mistake concerning position after nuke, I'm used (like most of BLM) to do some backsteps rigth after casting spell, however here these mob often remains static and starts casting spell, so by doing these backsteps = I'm out of range :[ Second mistake was when I faced the Mindertaur while it was using Chthonian Ray, I turned back quickly then :D Third, the use of the hi-elixir could have been avoided for sure, I had WAY enough MP to do that fight without using an elixir. Still wanted to play it safe, you never know if you get 2-3 bad resists in a row...

A good question is, when to use manafont ? Right from start on first one ? On second one so you can kill it straight without giving him a chance to cure V himself ? I think right from the start is the best option, because a single MP bar might not be enough to defeat the Eldertaur, especially if you get resisted. Need to kill fast before the Mindertaur wakes up, so that's why I used Manafont.

Before getting comment or question about this, yeah I do equip obi while binding, why ? Nobody knows if obi helps for accuracy on corresponding spells, even lodeguy isn't sure after doing lot of tests. I'm one of those who think obi does enable a player to get full benefits of weather, meaning increasing potency on spells but also accuracy.

Average drop, not the best, still decent, again like others video did it for fun, not drops really. I hope you enjoyed the music too :)

If you don't see me using any macro, that's because all my actions are triggered outside the game with FFXI AJH. All equip change is handled by spellcast plugin. Please note that blinkmenot is being used, sometime you'll see me casting a spell with specific gear even if in reality I'm already wearing another piece of armor at that very moment :p That's perfectly normal and that's not me committing a macro mistake. (No I don't cast stoneskin with my Terra Staff on...)
