Union Budget is just a couple of weeks away and in this Budget Government is likely to increase allocation to Telecom Sector and likely to focus more on SATCOM as well. SATCOM is likely to be an area of major focus to provide connectivity to far-flung areas. Government is likely to increase rural broadband penetration under Bhartnet Program. The government aims to increase Broadband connectivity from the current 1.3lk villages to 2 lakh villages in the next FY. The government is also planning to increase liberalization to 40-50% to give a boost to 5G services across the country
