This video is about George Skates, a 74 year old man wrongfully convicted to death row following the 1993 Lucasville riots! George had no part in planning or carrying out this riot! What he is guilty of is trying to maintain calm of the inmates and assist in a peaceful end to a protest that got extremely out of control! George was accused of two murders that happened during this riot. There is overwhelming evidence to prove George’s innocence, including but not limited to statements made by other inmates regarding the truth . The inmates who actually committed the murders came forward made their statements of guilt and acepted their punishment for the crimes but yet George is still on death row for something he did not do and this has been proven. George has overwhelming support from attorneys, other inmates, Society, family and friends. All who are completely behind George 100% and truly believe in his innocence! George has been incarcerated for 38 years and on death row 24 years and his case is still sitting in the federal courts waiting the appeal process! It is believed by all parties this was to have been a simple protest that spiraled out of control leaving the older more respected inmates having to gain order and join together. The injury of the guards was before this control was established. Everything happened so fast most people didn’t even comprehend what was happening. There were about 500 men doing whatever they wanted!

a letter left on the wall from officer Jeff Ratcliff thanking the Aryan brotherhood for protecting him.
The inmates cleaned up and doctored the officers that were injured then took them to safety.
Officer Mike Hensley was even given cigarettes.
Officer Howard Frayley was put on a stretcher by George and given to guards outside of the prison so he could be taken for care because he was injured. George gave his own blood pressure medication to one of the officers who needed it.
What the inmates wanted was be able to speak to the media to try to seek some relief and public awareness due to extreme inhumane conditions within the prison system. prior to the riot guards had been beating inmates. They even killed an inmate! you will see what the state official Tess Unwin said that inraged inmate Anthony Levelle who took it upon himself to retaliate against officer Vallandingham. Anthony Levelle is out free today because he exchanged false testimony against innocent men for his own freedom. you will hear the opinions from attorney Chuck Boss, Nikki Schwartz, Rick kerger, Jeff Gamso, and Stangton Lynd. There is also statements from the prosecutor Daniel Hogan. Such corrupt prosecution and a broken system has allowed wrongful convictions!
