Yamaha SPX90: The Secret To An 'MBV’ Shoegaze Reverb Sound

Have you ever wondered what gives Kevin Shields from 'My Bloody Valentine' his huge sweeping reverse reverb guitar sounds? Well I think I might have found the answer and it's in the Yamaha SPX90.

Forget the 'Fender Blender', this old 1980's rack unit is at the forefront of the 'mbv' sound. In todays video we're going to look at the spx90 and see if we can get something close to the sounds of Mr Shields. I hope you enjoy it!
