23. Aug 12 - Super Sturgeon Moon: Last Supermoon of 2022.
24. Aug 12-13 - Perseids: One of the best meteor showers of the year...Up to 150 meteors per hour.
25. Aug 14 - Saturn at Opposition: Saturn makes its closest approach to Earth.
26. Sep 1 - Aurigid Meteors: Up to 5 meteors per hour.
27. Sep 10 - Full Harvest Moon
28. Sep 22 - Autumnal Equinox: Equal day and night throughout the world...First day of Autumn in the North.
29. Sep 27 - Jupiter at Opposition: Best time to say 'hello' to the mighty gas giant.
30. Oct 2 - Andromeda is well placed: Best time to see the Andromeda Galaxy.
31. Oct 8 - Draconid Meteors
32. Oct 10 - Southern Taurids: Up to 5-10 fireballs per hour.
33. Oct 21-22 - Orionids: Best meteor shower of October...Up to 15-20 meteors per hour.
34. Oct 25 - Partial Solar Eclipse: Visible to Sri Lanka at sunset.
35. Nov 8 - Total Lunar Eclipse: Visible over the Americas and Oceania...The partial phase is visible from Sri Lanka at moonrise.
36. Nov 8 - Lunar Occultation of Uranus: The Moon, Sun, Earth and Uranus will align as the moon passes in front of Uranus on the eclipse day.
37. Nov 9 - Uranus at Opposition: The ice giant makes its the closest point to Earth.
38. Dec 7 - Lunar Occultation of Mars: Moon will pass in front of Mars.
39. Dec 7 - Cold Moon: Last full moon of 2022.
40. Dec 7-8 - Mars at Opposition: Mars reaches opposition after a long two years...The planet will now outshine Jupiter's brightness.
41. Dec 14 - Geminid Meteors: The best meteor shower of the year...Produces 150 multicolour meteors p/h.
42. Dec 21 - Winter Solstice: The sun rises over the Tropic of Capricorn...First day of Winter to the North
43. Dec 22-23 - Ursids Meteor Shower: Last meteor shower of 2022.
