Yanapaccha summit with a view to Huascaran & Santa Cruz trek with 3 month pregnant comrade.

Constant change of weather from 3 different directions: From the ocean, Amazonia and from the north - Ecuador. The pressure can change several times a day and therefore you feel "different" and you don’t understand why. Acclimatization took 2 times longer than usual. For example, in Nepal there were no problems at all, although the level of elevation was higher.
Every time I take a guide in Latin America and every time with "great adventures". This time there were 2 attempts to kill me in 2 days: from the level of 3100m we were taken by car to 4500m, and then hiked for 3 hours to 4700m where we had a base camp. 1600m in a day and immediately sleep 4h at 4700m and after you climb up to 5500 (18000ft). Hmmm. Not surprisingly, the pulse was 140 while lying down. But pulling myself together, I decided to still go to the top with a drone. After a couple of scary moments, and you're like a cucumber! It's amazing how adrenaline works. We were very lucky with the weather that day. The group that took alpine classes lived all week in a constant hell: snow, wind, rain.... It was a pity to look at these guys.
The summit offered stunning views of the entire Cordillera Blanca range. On the other side, a stormy cyclone was moving quickly, and we quickly galloped-repelled down.
Having gone down, our guide decided that we would run to the car that was waiting for us. But the adrenaline then stopped working, and mountain sickness hit me in the head pretty hard.
Seeing that I was walking slowly and with mountain sickness, the guide decided not to go with me and ran forward. Alone, the last 3 miles felt like a lifetime. The weather was great with amazing views. Thoughts were different: anger at the guide mixed with the fact that right now I'm doing what I love most. Looking at the beautiful view, I said out loud and laughed: "What a wonderful day to die" :))))))
The second half of the adventure was more than excellent and no less beautiful. Santa Cruz track is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. In addition, at each camp you can burn a fire there, which I have not seen anywhere on the planet at an altitude of more than 4000m.

Viva Peru!
