Strange NOVELTY Wave - Sketchy Current - Nusa Lembongan

This was one of those days that did not go as planned. I started swimming off to a wave that was roughly 300 yards off the beach, and the tide was going down. I didn't factor the tide going down that fast tho. The area leading up to where the waves are is super shallow with mostly sandy bottom. The closer I got to the wave the rockier it got, and the more turbulent. I finally reached where I thought was going to be a decent spot and it quickly got deeper. I then lost traction with the sea floor and got swept away, nearly out to sea. I found a couple of rocks to hang on to with my feet while the "river" slowed between sets (no way to out swim the current) , and I finally landed in a shallower area. I didn't feel too safe filming any closer than I was, wasn't interested in dealing with the current any more than I had to.
