Russia's Putin Willing to Visit Pyongyang Soon

North Korea says Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his willingness to visit Pyongyang soon. This would be Putin's first trip to North Korea in more than two decades.

The announcement came after a meeting between Putin and North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Sonhuy in Russia last week. According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Putin thanked Kim Jong Un for his invitation to visit and said he was "considering doing so at an early date."

The Kremlin has confirmed that Putin is considering a visit to Pyongyang, but said that no date has been set yet. Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, said that the visit would take place "in the foreseeable future" if possible.

A visit by Putin to Pyongyang would be a significant development in relations between the two countries. Russia and North Korea have been increasingly close in recent years, as both countries have been facing increased pressure from the West. Russia has been supporting North Korea economically and militarily, while North Korea has refrained from condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

A Putin visit to Pyongyang could be seen as a show of solidarity between the two countries, and it could also lead to increased cooperation on a number of issues, including trade, energy, and security. However, it is also possible that the visit could draw criticism from the international community, as North Korea is a pariah state that is subject to a number of sanctions.

It remains to be seen whether or not Putin will actually visit Pyongyang, but the announcement that he is considering doing so is a sign of the increasingly close relationship between Russia and North Korea.

I hope this is helpful!
