We are staying at The Hotel Chalet at the Choo Choo. The hotel, just had a major renivation to help capture the golden era of train travel.
Since opening on the grounds of the iconic Chattanooga Choo Choo train station in 1974, an era of discerning hospitality began. As the stewards before us, The Hotel Chalet pays homage to its rich history by embracing the spirit of rail travel, inviting guests to journey to the surrounding mountains, explore arts and entertainment and partake in après voyage libations.

The Hotel Chalet is a stylish, modern transformation of the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo’s Terminal Station, redesigned by Trestle Studio and reopened in 2023

. It includes 127 guest rooms—including 25 restored Pullman train-car rooms dating from the 1920s to the 1960s

. The ambiance is nostalgic yet polished, described by Southern Living as reminiscent of a "Wes Anderson movie" come to life
