No celebration of the career of David Frost would be complete without his famous catchphrase – and unlike a lot of celebrity catchphrases, Frost actually used it – though he was probably unaware when he first uttered those few words how iconic they would become.

With a career in broadcasting spanning the late 1950s to his death aged 74 in 2013, Frost was unquestionably Britain's first true media superstar. From modest beginnings at Anglia television, his ascent was unstoppable, on a trajectory that took him from establishment bête noir on the short-lived but never forgotten That Was the Week That Was to presidential confessor in his remarkable televised interviews with the disgraced Richard Nixon.
