Hundreds of people gathered outside the Department of Taoiseach for an anti-racism demonstration this afternoon.

Around 300 people attend the protest, which was organised by the Indian community following a spate of assaults and incidents of racism in Ireland in recent weeks. Earlier this month, the Indian Embassy in Dublin issued a stark advisory to its citizens living in Ireland, advising them to "take reasonable precautions for their personal security and avoid deserted areas, especially in odd hours".
