Vista Murrieta BOA Grand Nationals INDY 2016 Cinders

Vista Murrieta performed at Lucas Oil stadium on Nov.11th and Nov. 12th, 2016. They received a score of 88.95 during prelims scoring 8th place overall and 4th in their class. During semi finals, they received an 88.00 scoring 14th overall (one band from making finals) and 8th in their class. During finals, Vista Murrieta received the Espirit de Corps award So the students were awarded the Al Castronovo Award... what does this mean?

"This is a special award and is not based on any scores from the competition. The Bands of America staff will evaluate groups throughout the complete event to select the one group most exhibiting pride, spirit, enthusiasm, friendliness, and unity of purpose for the activity of marching bands in this country."

Out of 100 bands competing only one band is selected, and in my opinion this is THE most important award of the entire event. This is not something you can rehearse and perfect. This award is a reflection of the qualities and the values that each of our members hold inside.
