This year, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Christopher Thornberg, founder of Beacon Economics LLC, as our keynote speaker. As an expert in economic forecasting and real estate markets, Dr. Thornberg has consulted for both private and public sector clients across the nation, leading his firm to become one of the most highly respected research organizations in California. Dr. Thornberg became renowned nationally for forecasting the subprime mortgage market crash of 2007, and the subsequent economic recession that followed. Dr. Thornberg holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics from The Anderson School at UCLA, and currently serves as the Director of the UC Riverside School of Business Center for Economic Forecasting and Development.
