Join me for a serene morning stroll through Zemithang Village in Arunachal Pradesh! My day began with adorable puppies at the homestay before heading to the magnificent Gorsam Chorten Buddhist Stupa. This replica of Swayambhunath holds mysteries, as its history remains lost to time.

After giving a lift to a local, I returned to explore the tranquil neighbourhood. The lush greenery, rustic old houses, and golden wheat fields behind quaint stone homes offered a truly calming experience.

The highlight? My homestay owner guided me to an area filled with ancient stone and wood houses, believed by locals to date back to the 6th century! It's incredible to see people still residing in these historic structures. I even got a rare glimpse inside one – a room with centuries-old wooden flooring, a combined kitchen, dining, and common area, and a ceiling blackened by hundreds of years of chimney smoke. You'll also see traditional Monpa utensils and cultural artefacts.
