The minute I was delivered a beautiful RED 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 4MATIC, it was clear this wasn’t just another test drive—it was an experience. From the sleek grille to the outstanding 19” AMG multi-spoke wheels in black (an additional $900), this car looked like it had just stepped off a fashion runway.

During the day, the CLA250 was pure sophistication. The 2.0L inline-4 turbo engine with 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque gave the perfect amount of zip to navigate the streets of Scottsdale and freeways to family visits with confidence. The 8G-DCT 8-speed transmission effortlessly shifted gears, making the drive as smooth as silk.

But it wasn’t until the sun dipped below the horizon that the CLA250 truly came to life. As the Arizona night unfolded, I activated the 64-color ambient lighting inside the cabin. It was as if the car transformed into my personal sanctuary, the soft glow, setting the mood for every twist and turn on the road. Whether I wanted a calm blue or an energizing RED the lighting made the cabin feel like an extension of my personality. Paired with the rich sounds of the Burmester surround sound system, I felt like a disco in my car. ( A disco is a shortened word for discotheque. ( look it up.)

I love wheels, so very excited to see those striking 19” AMG multi-spokes in black that glistened under the streetlights. It is an extra $900, but I knew from the moment I saw them they were worth every penny. They completed the car’s look, giving it a bold, assertive stance. Every time I stepped out of the car, I took one last look at those wheels, proud of how they elevated the overall design. (see close up in the video.)

In terms of technology, the CLA250 4MATIC offered the best of Mercedes’ innovation. The 10.25” instrument cluster and central display made every feature easily accessible, while the ECO Start/Stop system ensured I was driving efficiently. Rain-sensing windshield wipers came in handy, as Arizona’s weather can be unpredictable, and the Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Function, Blind Spot Assist, and Evasive Steering Assist all worked together seamlessly, keeping me safe at every turn. There were times I felt the car was driving me.

At 25 miles per gallon in the city, 35 on the highway, and a combined 28, it balances performance with efficiency. The starting price of $45,200 offers exceptional luxury, but my test model, packed with the extra features, came in at $61,370. Every dollar was accounted for, from the advanced airbag protection system to the striking black headliner, making this CLA250 not just a car—but an extension of the driver.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 4MATIC had left a lasting impression. Whether day or night, it delivered on every level—luxury, performance, and unmistakable style during the day and definitely at dark.
