A Brief History of Polka Music with Alex Meixner

Grammy-nominated accordionist Alex Meixner can play many styles of music, but one of his favorites is polka. He began learning polka music at a very young age from his parents, and eventually he created a successful band that performs it at Oktoberfest celebrations across the country. In this video, Meixner explains the origins of this popular style of folk music.
