Tomcat or Birdcage? Just clucking get it welded! | Days 7 and 8 | Building a Tomcat | Team YI Racing

Hello again Tomcat fans!

Last episode we showed you our team tacking on the roll cage to the donor chassis- making sure that everything was where it was meant to be and basically laying the foundation for future weldings and fixings.
This installment follows straight on from that and you can see the front of the cage being mig welded directly to the chassis rails. Nice and sturdy and stuck well down!
Saddleboxes have been made up from parts supplied by Tomcat motorsport and used to attach the rear hoop to the chassis by, you guessed it, more mig weld.
The rear cross member has also been joined to the chassis using chassis extension sections that were also in the kit supplied by Tomcat Motorsport.#
