The Marlin 39A is a direct decedent of the model 1891, the first-ever .22 LR lever action rifle.
Many claim that the 39A is the very best 22 lever action ever produced (there will be Browning and Winchester fans who may debate this, and Henry fans that should not, but still will!)

Today we are going to look at an example from Marlin's 'Golden Age' (ie: pre-Remington acquisition). Produced in 1974, this rifle is in nearly pristine condition. Discussion, take-down, parts close-ups and of course, shooting.
