Upfall | 2.2

Idfk why the vid is as choppy as it is.
Well I didn't think I would ever return to this game lol, This level def aint my best but it's up there. I fcking love this song so much when I first heard it that I decided when 2.2 was gonna release I was gonna use it in a level. so when gd 2.2 did released and when I heard it finally released I immediately started building a layout and then the level and it took... like 40? 50+ hours in the editor. Yeah I completely no lifed this level lmao. maybe it'll get rated, maybe it won't but hey I'm fairly happy with it :)

I tried to cram as much 2.2 features as I could possibly put without the level feeling like asss to play and I think I did an alright job at that also sry for the shader abuse btw I didn't realize how many shader I put until after I finished the level but I hope it doesn't disrupt the gameplay all to much. The autobuild feature is godsend like my god is it fantastic (can't autobuild slopes to my knowledge tho) but yeah. The particle system is pretty cool! I mean I only really used it in the dual swing copter and the cube after to make this spiral like effect in the bg at 0:46. The swing copter is way better than I thought but I think I made some of the swing parts a bit too hard for an easy demon (but I was way harder before so)

I think 36% (0:35) is the weakest part by far idk why but it does feel weaker than the rest ig. The camera triggers were weird to work with? mostly the guide trigger which I still don't know how to use, rotating the cam 90 deg with the arrow trigger? (idk what they're called) was neat. 88% was the most fun to build :) even if it took a bit to build. The end screen I just struggled to come up with something so I feel like it's a bit lacking a few aspects but hey it's a level alright

If you couldn't tell already I've basically quit gd like a year ago and completely quit like 7 months ago but roberto topola decided to release the update and here we are. I'm gonna make 1 more level (a platformer level cuz I want to atleast try it) and then imma dip and go back to game dev

also sorry if the sync is lacking or weird I'll try to fix it when I feel like it.
