Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum Tour - Behind The Scenes - Free Sweets! Zurich, Switzerland

In today's video we're taking you on a tour of the Lindt Home of Chocolate Museum in Zurich, Switzerland.

Lindt Home of Chocolate is located outside the city centre of Zurich, Switzerland. The tour takes us on a history lesson on the origins of chocolate, from way back in time when the Spanish explorers brought exotic drinks to European Royalty, we explore it's journey as it becomes popular across all class systems.

We're then walking through the history of Lindt as a company and how the Swiss influenced the chocolate revolution around the world with the many companies that sprung up throughout the country.

As we move on we get the opportunity to see the history of the Lindt packaging and how it's changed throughout the years before we try the liquid chocolate and learn how the chocolates are produced. Here we also had our first opportunity to different varieties of their chocolate bars as we guessed the flavours of each piece.

After our final exhibition on how chocolate and cocoa is a global commodity we're then given the chance to sample a number of the Lindt Lindor ball flavours, we're told to take 1 of each...

As we leave the chocolate tasting room we're shown some ideas of how technology can help the chocolate making process. We're also shown the prototype lab and then we collect one final chocolate sample.

Before finishing up we took the opportunity to head into the cafe where they serve both sweet and savoury food items and a variety of drinks. We then exit through the shop, being sure to pick up lots of chocolate along the way!
